Die internationale Glücksspiel-Messe SAGSE in der argentinischen Hauptstadt Buenos Aires hält eine fest verankerte Position im jährlichen Messekalender der internationalen Glücksspielndustrie inne. Dieses Jahr wird der dreitägige Event von 29. September bis 1. Oktober am traditionellen Standort im Centro Costa Salguero stattfinden. The Latin American gaming industry will meet this week in Buenos Aires, and around 200 exhibitors will receive national and international visitors in a new edition of the traditional Buenos Aires SAGSE trade show. SAGSE organizers announced that, from 14,30 p.m., its doors will open to start their 16th edition, with the aim to reaffirm that it is the main regional gaming event.

Last year, the business volume exceeded USD 300 million during the three=day exhibition”, according to the organizers in a recent press release.

Once again, Buenos Aires is in the limelight: this year, two trade events dedicated to the gambling sector will be held at the same time in this city, reminding a well known history for many of us, with the dispute that divided the industry in 2003 and 2004. Last week, Buenos Aires had its fifteenth exhibition for the gambling sector and opened its doors to companies from all parts of the world, which arrived in the country to offer its latest developments. The event had a great production and once again it broke records on quantity of metres and exhibitors. The traditional Buenos Aires event lived three days full of public and splendour (altough last Friday afternoon there was a bit decrease in public), and it closed its fifteenth edition at 9 pm that day.

The second day at SAGSE Buenos Aires offered an important level of public, even more than on the first day of the event, and tonight it will conclude a very positive 15th edition. Yesterday night, its organizers also held SAGSE Awards 2007 within the traditional Gambling Gala. One of the highlights of this 15th edition was the remarkable presence of international companies in SAGSE; boosted by the growth of the event it its latest editions. Local companies also assisted to an event which attracted the attention of many South American operators.

Within SAGSE Central America, Hector Rivera Davila, Head of the Puerto Rican Gambling Commission, talked in exclusive to Yogonet about the situation of the sector in his country and anticipated the intentions they have, together with other Latin American regulators, to exchange ideas and have mutual support.
