insic Diia ID service for Ukrainian ID documents via the official ukrainian ID app

The insic Diia ID service enables legally secure verification of Ukrainian IDs, similar to the eID procedure. The Diia app is highly accepted among the Ukrainian population.

Through this app, the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MWS) facilitates the secure verification of IDs and passports. Once legitimate interest is verified the app for Android and iOS is activated within the insic system.

After using FaceID or entering access data into the local app and confirming a personal access PIN, the ID card reading process begins. The app reads the ID card's RFID chip using the mobile phone's RFID reader and authorises the transaction. A response is sent online directly to insic and the connected platform.

Further checks against various blacklists, as well as verification of address information in Germany and abroad, can be conducted via the insic Workflow Manager.

insic does not charge any transaction fees, nor are any costs charged for the provision of this service. We cover operating and integration costs for public or non-profit institutions. Our existing customers will receive this solution as a free upgrade. These commitments will initially apply for the duration of the war in Ukraine.
