insic Shop-/Acceptance points ID for identification at the point of sale (POS)

The insic Shop and Betting Office identification system facilitates identification at the point of sale (POS). Terrestrial providers can integrate online and offline identification across all platforms.

In compliance with the GlüStV regulation face-to-face verification is required for identity confirmation. Access to identification performance by a reliable third party is allowed in distance selling. Betting providers with their own network of betting offices may conduct identity verification for their online platform in their terrestrial sales network.

At the POS, the customer presents a reference to an ID process that has already been initiated. This reference can take the form of a printed document or an electronic barcode, which links either to the insic system or to an item in the POS system.

In the standard implementation without adapting the POS system, users generates a PDF document in the AVS widget, print it out, and an employee in the shop confirms the identity by checking the ID in the insic admin interface.

Alternatively, identity confirmation at the POS can be achieved by scanning a specially generated one-time barcode that is provided in the respective provider app.

To simplify the processes in the shop, options with barcodes and additional interface functions for controlling the AVS module are available.
