Novomatics ICE Review

Novomatic’s wholly owned subsidiary, Austrian Gaming Industries (AGI) is very pleased with the enthusiastic reaction from ICE 2004 visitors to AGI’s latest product offerings. Jens Halle, Managing Director of AGI says: “We have had an overwhelming response at the show in London and strong customer acceptance of our innovative concepts for the gaming industry. Our sales have topped last year's figures. We are set to continue on this track.“

AGI’s latest innovation in slot technology, the Gaminator™, a sophisticated new space saving cabinet in elegant trend-setting silver with full range of Coolfire™ platform functions, two extra large TFT screens, touch interface, player tracking options and superior stereo sound was a particular attraction. The new range of action-packed video slot games all shown in these brand-new Gaminator™ double monitor cabinets including titles such as Roller Coaster™, Bungee Monkey™, Marco Polo™, Rock the Croc™ and Venetian Carnival™ also found a great number of enthusiastic admirers among ICE visitors.

Cash Connection™, the latest exciting and action-packed linked progressive jackpot system had its debut at the show and attracted significant interest evidenced by a large number of installation orders.

Novo Information Systems GmbH (NIS), forming part of Novomatic Group of Companies with a specific focus on slot management solutions launched Novo SafeCash™, providing state-of-the-art ultra-secure electronic transaction handling by means of Smart Cards for cashless/coinless gaming operations. Novo SafeCash™ has been designed to conform to the highest level of security standards and offers unparalleled flexibility and ease-of use. In addition the introduction of the Novoware™ Mystery Jackpot Module and Multimedia Controller, both add-on software modules to the Novoware™ BASE System, providing operators with complete flexibility as to configuration of multiple mystery jackpots and multimedia presentations, has generated considerable interest within the industry. The number of orders received for the Novoware™ BASE System, Novo Safe Cash™, Novoware™ Mystery Jackpot Module and Multimedia Controller is indicative of wide-spread customer acceptance of Novo Information Systems approach to technological and functional innovation which results in bringing to market user-friendly modular products with measurable benefits and lower Total Cost of Ownership.

Novo Gaming UK, as the third exhibitor of the Novomatic Group was also very satisfied with the exhibition. Magic Games II™, the AWP and the British casino slot range created continuous interest on the stand. There appeared to be a buzz around both ICE and ATEI about Magic Games in particular. The machine has caught the imaginations of players in the arcade and bingo sectors and proved to be high on the shopping lists of most operators. Demand during and since the exhibition has confirmed the popularity of this innovative machine.

The casino range with Gaminator™ slots and slant top products was also a great talking point. Within the first hours, all of the British slots on the stand had been sold to a large operator and serious interest and commitment continued through to the show end.

Novo Gaming UK foresees exciting prospects for both AWP and casino products throughout 2004. The market as a whole over recent years in the UK has responded very positively to the performances of these high quality random machines. Operators perceive Novomatic as a company with a special ingredient that has successfully translated its international casino expertise into highly appealing British AWPs and casino products. This has been reflected by the overall success of the exhibition for Novo Gaming and Novomatic products.
