ICE steering group meets in Amsterdam

Casino suppliers and operators were brought together recently when ATE, organisers of ICE, staged a meeting in Amsterdam to discuss preparations for January’s London show.

Hosted by Holland Casino at the Dutch capital’s Casino Amsterdam on September 25, the ICE Development Committee comprised: Nadine Levermann, Atronic; Tim Cullimore, Casino Crans Montana; Jelle Van Battrum, Holland Casino; Karen Thompson, IGT-Europe; John Edmunds and Peter Crowe, MEI; Rhoda Jansz, Mikohn Europe; Jan Waltersum, Orion Gaming; Ian Adams and Heather Turner, ATE.

Topics discussed included: logistical changes affecting both visitors and exhibitors due to the relocation of ICE to Earls Court 2; marketing strategies aimed at sustaining the show’s future growth; accommodation packages for ICE attendees; and a range of at-show issues such as admission policy, registration procedures, seating/meeting areas and restaurant facilities.

ICE Sales Executive Ian Adams described the meeting as highly productive: “Involving our customers, both exhibitors and visitors, in the decision-making process is a crucial factor in ensuring that we continue to deliver the best possible show package for the international casino industry,” she stated. “Many of the ideas and suggestions raised at this meeting will be implemented for the 2004 and 2005 shows. I would like to thank all those who attended for their creative input and enthusiastic support, and Holland Casino in particular for their first class hospitality.”
