5th MERKUR CASINO in Prague opened – All sails set for expansion!

ESPELKAMP/PRAGUE. Whilst visiting the product presentation of the Gauselmann subsidiary STELLA and MEXIM at this year’s FORBES in Prague, Rolf Klug, Member of the Gauselmann Group Board and responsible for the MERKUR International segment, and Rolf Falke, CEO of MERKUR CASINO took the opportunity to drop in on the newly opened 5th MERKUR CASINO located in the south-east of Prague. This new opening means that 15 Merkur suns now shine over the Czech Republic, five of which are located in the cultural metropolis on the Danube.

The new MERKUR CASINO with a floor space of around 400 square meters and located in a typical Czech mall in a Prague suburb, is fitted with two roulette tables, 42 AWPs and the Lucky Wheel – a unique roulette innovation “made by Gauselmann”. This high-class entertainment offer and the communication-oriented interior is enhanced by a bar which as well as snacks serves hot and cold drinks.

The new MERKUR CASINO in the garden city of Zahradni Mesto has a staff of six whose professional and high quality service competence is every bit as equal to that of their German Merkur-Spielothek colleagues. For more than 30 years now, the MERKUR sun with its friendly smiling face has guaranteed innovative and state-of-the-art leisure entertainment all over Europe. Around 220 “hi-tech arcades” are currently operated throughout Europe by the family-run Gauselmann Group which has its headquarter in Espelkamp, North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. In the business year of 2004 the concern achieved a revenue of € 670 m. Worldwide, over 5,700 people including 600 game developers work for the Gauselmann Group which is the only German coin-operated machine manufacturer to hold the ISO DIN 9001:2000 certification.
