ViridianT/Gen7 tops Aristocrat’s award-packed ICE 2008

London: Aristocrat Technologies Europe are celebrating an ‚unprecedented‘ response to their new ViridianT/Gen7 technology, which received its official European and African launch at London’s International Casino Exhibition (ICE) 2008.

„The impact and interest created by ViridianT/Gen7 was overwhelming,“ enthused Nick Khin, Aristocrat’s Executive General Manager, EMEA. „Overall, we had a very successful show.“

Marketed under the banner ‚Designed To Perform‘, ViridianT, Aristocrat’s ergonomic, efficient, environmental new cabinet was launched with two games, Double HappinessT and GeishaT, and designed to support downloadable and SBG content. Gen7, which Aristocrat describes as ‚the power behind the performance‘, is a powerful new gaming platform which facilitates enhanced graphic and audio content.

ICE 2008 saw Aristocrat presented with first place in Global Gaming Business Magazine’s Technology Awards (Best Slot Product) for their ViridianT/Gen 7 concept. ACE Interactive’s Gaming Solution V4.0 picked up second place in the title’s Best Productivity-Enhancement Technology category, while PokerTek’s automated poker table, PokerPro®, earned top billing in the 2008 International Gaming Awards‘ Gaming Equipment Design category.

Aristocrat kicked off the London show in some style. Approximately 500 excited gaming industry professionals attended the company’s pre-ICE party at London’s Madame Tussauds on the evening of Monday January 21st. The impressive event marked the official European and African unveiling of ViridianT/Gen7. During ICE 2008, Aristocrat also hosted the Aragonese Government’s Minister and Vice-Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Arturo Aliaga and Juan Carlos Trillo, for discussions on the exciting Gran Scala Project.

Khin added: „ICE 2008 has proved, once again, to be a unique platform to launch new products, stimulate the market and strengthen relationships with our customers in the region. I’m pleased to report that Aristocrat, ACE Interactive and PokerTek have succeeded on all three accounts – the show has been a great start to 2008.“
