Lübbecke - Merkur Group is continuing its clear strategy of growth and expansion, underlined by the latest addition to its leadership team: Effective immediately, Marcel Heutmekers has joined the German-based gaming specialist as Senior Vice President Merkur Games International, where he will be responsible for strengthening the company’s presence across international gaming markets.

“Marcel Heutmekers is an exceptionally experienced and highly qualified industry expert who has gained extensive knowledge through a wide range of positions,” says Dominik Raasch, Management Board Member, Merkur Games. “His expertise, combined with his deep understanding of international gaming markets, will be an invaluable asset to Merkur Games.”

In his new role as Senior Vice President Merkur Games International, the 51-year-old will focus on driving growth in existing markets while also establishing the Merkur brand in new territories. “My goal is to position Merkur Gaming, together with my team, as one of the leading providers of high-quality gaming products in international markets,” explains Marcel Heutmekers. “I am truly looking forward to this new professional challenge, to working closely with my new colleagues, and to the many successes we will achieve together in the coming months and years.”

With more than 25 years of experience in the gaming industry, Marcel Heutmekers is widely regarded as a proven expert in his field. Over the past 15 years, he has held various senior leadership positions at IGT and, most recently, at Aristocrat. This makes the Münster-based executive the ideal candidate for the position of Senior Vice President Merkur Games International and a strong asset for the entire Merkur Group.
