AiG 2008 to be held next February

Following the phenomenal success of EiG 2007 in Barcelona, the trade event is now underway with the planning the 6th Annual Asian i-Gaming Congress & Expo, to be held February 26-29, 2008 at the Venetian Hotel and Resort in Macau.

Formerly known as Pacific Congress on i-Gaming (PCiG), this is the longest-running and only conference in Asia to focus solely on i-gaming in Asia Pacific and has a fantastic track-record of bringing together those who have already established a foothold in the region with those looking for opportunities and potential partners.

A largely untapped market with massive potential, Asia is fast becoming the new hotspot for online gaming, with some countries showing real interest and others being more cautious in regulating i-gaming.

AiG 2008 will address the multiple concerns operators and suppliers have in terms of the legal, infrastructure and operational hurdles in online gaming in Asia. The program has been expanded to focus on specific areas of interest, such as billing, payments and customer service, opportunities in lotteries and betting, partnerships and business models.

For those looking for investment or wondering how to take their companies to the next level, there is a pre-conference investment seminar which will provide a snapshot of what investors are looking for, market expectations, revenue models and types of financing available. The seminar is for investors and companies alike and is designed to put those seeking financing in touch with those with regional investment expertise, so that real business can take place.

A post-conference marketing seminar will help assistants understand the cultural considerations different markets in Asia, how to reach customers, how to keep them and how to maximize revenue. Questions about what attracts the Asian player and how to reach pure critical mass will be answered by people with real experience in building brands and localizing games for this market.
