Harrah’s Atlantic City will unveil the final phase of the property’s USD 550 million upgrade and expansion project in early 2008, when the property opens a new 961- room, 44-story hotel tower.
Reaching new heights in Atlantic City, the new Waterfront Tower will also make Harrah’s the tallest hotel casino in Atlantic City and the second tallest building in New Jersey.
The new tower is the centerpiece of Harrah’s Atlantic City’s USD 550 million expansion project and will increase Harrah’s hotel capacity by nearly 60 percent, offering a total of 2,591 guest rooms.
The 961-room, 44-story hotel tower will feature eight super-suites and 104 suites luxuriously appointed with limestone floors, freestanding showers, fireplaces, in-room theaters and plasma televisions. The first 12 floors of the new Waterfront Tower will open in the first quarter of 2008, with the remaining floors opening through July.
Located on the first floor of the Waterfront Tower will be an innovative „Taste of the Shore“ food emporium, offering irresistible eats that reflect some of New Jersey’s favorite foods and snacks, including Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream; Philadelphia Pretzels; Starbucks; Sack O’ Subs; and Primo Pizza. Additionally, the new „Reflections“ 24-hour café will join the food emporium, offering a full-service café menu to guests throughout the day and night.
The food emporium and Reflections café will be located adjacent to The Pool at Harrah’s, a new, 15,979 sqm entertainment complex that boasts a 90-foot-high, glass-dome-enclosed tropical oasis containing a 2,136 sqm, 86,000-gallon heated pool, six Jacuzzis, 12 cabanas, and indoor and outdoor deck areas.
