The legal side of Casino Island has been prepared and the foundation was started on the 26th June of this year, Tallinn’s representative and principle Märt Sults told aripaev.ee today. Sults presented a sketch, from where it was seen that the plan is to create an entertainment and culture complex from three islands, each of which is shaped like a kidney. Each of the islands will have a clearly specified purpose.

A malfunctioning video lottery terminal at Twin River gave gamblers credit for twice as much money as they had inserted, erroneously paying out hundreds of thousands of dollars over the course of two months. (AP) - Illinois gambling regulators signed off on plans Monday to move the Casino Rock Island to a new USD 150 million complex with a hotel, conference facilities and a third more gaming tables. The long-planned move from a riverboat in downtown Rock Island to an inland site near Interstate 280 and Illinois 92 was unanimously approved by the Illinois Gaming Board during a special meeting in Chicago.
The Minister for Territories, Jim Lloyd, says re-opening the Christmas Island Resort without its casino is the best way forward for tourism on the island. The resort casino closed in 1998 because of financial difficulties. Sydney businessman David Kwon bought the resort and tried to reopen the casino, but the Federal Government made it illegal to have casino operations on the Island in 2004.
