Bei der Ziehung der Lotterie Eurojackpot am kommenden Freitag kommt es zu einer außergewöhnlichen Gewinnsituation: Neben dem 14 Mio. Euro schweren Jackpot in der Gewinnklasse 1 wartet dann auch in der Gewinnklasse 2 ein Jackpot von 1 Mio. Euro. Damit können Tipper bereits mit fünf richtigen Treffern und einer richtigen Eurozahl, also mit einer Gewinnwahrscheinlichkeit von 1:5 Mio. Millionär werden.

In zahlreichen Pressemitteilungen verlautbarte West-Lotto in der letzten Woche, dass die deutschen Lottogesellschaften beabsichtigen, sich ab Oktober dieses Jahres dem Euro-Lotto anzuschließen. Euro-Lotto soll im Verbund mit acht europäischen Ländern angeboten werden. Jede Woche sollen dann mindestens 10 Millionen Euro ausgespielt werden und alle zwei Jahre sollen sogar bis zu 90 Millionen Euro beim Euro-Jackpot geknackt werden können.

Speziell an einem Super Friday ist, dass der Jackpot garantiert ausgeschüttet wird, auch wenn niemand die richtige Kombination der fünf Zahlen und zwei Sterne tippt.

After several cases on sports betting the European Court of Justice (ECJ) will, once again, decide on a lotteries case. A Belgian court, Rechtsbank van koophandel Hasselt, referred a case concerning the pan-European lottery Euro Millions to the ECJ (Case C-525/06, Nationale Lotterij). Plaintiff in the Belgian case is NV de Nationale Loterij, the monopoly operator in Belgium. The defendant is BVBA Customer Service Agency, which offers the participation as a group in Euro Millions.

Nach mehreren Sportwetten-Verfahren darf sich der Europäische Gerichtshof (EuGH) nunmehr erneut mit der Dienstleistungsfreiheit bei Lotterien beschäftigen. In der Rechtssache C-525/06 (NV de Nationale Loterij) fragt das vorlegende belgische Handelsgericht, Rechtsbank van koophandel Hasselt, ob für das Lotterieangebot "Euro Millions" regelmäßig geworben werden könne. Anders als bei den Sportwetten-Fällen geht es in diesem Fall um ein Monopolprodukt.
