Szolnok/Szeged/Espelkamp. At the beginning of March, Merkur Casino, the successful arcade chain of the German Gauselmann Group that operates in all of Europe, opened a new entertainment center under the brand name “Merkur Spielo“ in the city of Szolnok, 100 km to the east of Budapest. The city with a population of approximately 78,000 is located in the heart of the Hungarian plain.

The city of Reutlingen in the southern German region of Swabia and the city of Bonn on the river Rhine that both also boast a Merkur sun in the form of a Merkur Spielothek are the twin towns or sister cities of Szolnok.

The new entertainment center is located on the upper floor of the recently opened modern shopping center at the central bus station of the city.
370 square meters and 62 gaming stations offer a cutting edge international gaming mix including two of the very popular roulettes.

Only two days later, there was another opening, in Szeged in the southern part of the Hungarian plain.
