AmEx 2009 – Celebrating 30 Years Of Ireland’s Gaming & Amusement Trade Exhibition

AmEx 2009 – The 30th Irish Gaming & Amusement Trade Exhibition, will be held at the Green Isle Hotel, Dublin on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 March 2009. Opening hours will be from noon to 6 pm both days and admission is free to those involved in the industry!

Activity in Ireland (North & South) over the past year has been considerable, with investment in new equipment at a high level. Many of those already involved in the trade are expanding their businesses and new people are entering the trade at an unprecedented rate.

In addition to the exhibition there will be a seminar and a programme of meetings, business presentations and social gatherings, continuing the show’s reputation for bringing together Irish and international manufacturers, distributors and operators in a businesslike atmosphere.

The Seminar

AmEx 2009 will present the Irish Gaming Industry Seminar – a fact filled seminar that will update delegates on recent happenings in the Irish Gaming Industry, presented by the organisers of the Irish Gaming Conference.

From arcades to casinos and from bookmakers to single site operators, this session will update visitors and exhibitors at the AmEx 2009 show on all market influences that are impacting on the industry.

With legislative review, political influences and a shift in consumer spending on gaming, the Irish industry is on the cusp of substantial change. Find out where the industry is and where it is forecast to be by the end of 2009 and beyond.

The seminar will be presented by John Purcell, Director, Hannibal Purcell & Associates – Gaming Industry Management & Technology Consultants in the Green Isle Hotel, Dublin at 10am on Wednesday 4 March 2009. Admission to the seminar is free to all registered visitors and exhibitors at AmEx 2009.

The New Layout

Further renovations to the hotel by the new owners, Brennan Hotels, have resulted in the enlargement of the main exhibition area and the removal of permanent dividing walls, giving the exhibition area a new open-plan layout.

A second bar has been added at the opposite end of the halls to the existing bar and the new layout will make it easier for visitors to navigate their way through the exhibition and also introduces larger stands, capable of accommodating larger pieces of equipment.

The hotel foyer area has been redesigned, resulting in the relocation of the hotel reception, and the extension of the cafe / restaurant and bar / lounge into the foyer area. This means that exhibition stands will no longer be located in this area.
