The Kansas City area’s four riverboat casinos recorded slightly higher combined revenue but a lower customer count for July compared with last year, the Missouri Gaming Commission said Monday.
The Kansas City market recorded USD 62.1 million in July revenue, up less than 1 percent from USD 62 million last year. The market’s combined customer count was 926,870, down 2.3 percent from 947,976 last year.
Ameristar Casino & Hotel Kansas City and Argosy Casino were the only two area riverboats to report higher revenue and customer numbers.
Ameristar’s revenue for July was USD 22.3 million, up from USD 21.9 million last year. Ameristar had 344,099 customers in July, up from 331,946 last year.
Argosy reported revenue of USD 16.5 million, up from USD 15.5 million last year. Argosy had 223,562 customers, up from 216,542 last year.
Harrah’s North Kansas City Casino & Hotel had revenue of USD 16.4 million, down from USD 17.7 million last year. The casino had 231,866 customers, down from 258,588 last year.
Isle of Capri Casino Kansas City had revenue of USD 6.9 million, down from USD 6.95 million last year. The casino had 127,343 customers, down from 140,900 last year.
