New leadership structure for Merkur Gaming

Espelkamp/Lübbecke. The European sales organization of the Gauselmann Group, MERKUR GAMING, has had a new leadership structure since August 2007. “This restructuring is to send a clear message of the successful new orientation of MERKUR GAMING and to create a robust basis for future success,“ says Jürgen Stühmeyer, member of the board of Merkur responsible for sales.

In this function, Jürgen Stühmeyer will head the sales of MERKUR GAMING, with important support from Helmut Besse, managing director of adp Gauselmann GmbH. In addition, managing director Andreas Weiss will be responsible for administration and organization, and managing director Uwe Horn will be responsible for development at MERKUR GAMING.

These decisions pay tribute to the extraordinary significance of the development department as guarantee for the successful continuation of MERKUR GAMING in the European market for AWP machines. Gaming system innovations and technical designs of the machines can now be matched even more effectively to the requirements of the markets. In addition, the special demands of the players are taken even better into account. Thus, MERKUR GAMING consistently continues on the course embarked upon and develops top products and does its utmost to support the customers.

MERKUR GAMING is responsible for the Europe-wide sales of Merkur within the globally active Gauselmann Group. With a total business volume of € 1.33b in fiscal year 2006 the aggregated consolidated revenues grew to more than € 1b. At the end of the FY 2006 the headcount of the company was 5,493 worldwide and ever since its inception it has sold more than 2 million gaming products around the globe.
