Senior gambling industry professionals from around the world will have the opportunity to sample a 30-year-old Whisky costing £1,500 a bottle courtesy of an iGB Executive initiative run in partnership with SOFTSWISS and Scottish distillery GlenDronach.
Taking place at 4pm on Tuesday 20th January in the Glass Foyer at the Fira, the Whisky ‘nosing’ will see senior industry leaders explore both a 15-year-old and an 18-year-old GlenDronach before progressing to the elite 30-year-old single cask.
Clarion Gaming’s Rosie Brewster who is curating the whisky experience said: “This is a great example of bringing industry leaders together in a convivial atmosphere, sharing insights and making connections. It’s an opportunity for senior leaders to sample some exquisite whiskies thanks to the support of GlenDronach.
“GlenDronach whose distillery is based in the Highlands of Scotland also has links with Spain. The brand prides itself on its meticulous selection of Spanish sherry casks which has helped to create rich complex flavours for close to 200-years. The distillery is also said to be haunted by a Spanish woman who, as legend has it, travelled to GlenDronach in a sherry cask. For obvious reasons we are starting the tasting at 4pm allowing guests to enjoy the Barcelona show experience prior to sampling some outstanding whiskies.”
