Lübbecke/Sofia - With a remarkable presence at this year’s Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo (BEGE) in Sofia, the Merkur Group brought the 2025 trade fair season to a successful close. On 26 and 27 November, thousands of industry professionals from around the world visited the Inter Expo Centre and showed great interest in the wide range of product innovations presented by Merkur Gaming.

A particular focus of the presentation was placed on the two linked progressive jackpot systems Link Overdrive and Link Palace, whose international popularity was once again impressively reflected at BEGE. Both systems boast diverse, thrilling features, making them true guarantees for top-notch gaming excitement. Equally popular were the reliable and widely favoured multigame packages M-Prime and M-Line. Not only did they impress with their convenient complementarity, but they also stood out for their comprehensive games library, making them a perfect fit for any casino set-up.

Two premieres at BEGE more than lived up to their advance promise: the jackpot system Spire in the Clouds, presented for the first time in Eastern Europe and offering players the opportunity to configure their gaming experience entirely according to their personal preferences, sparked considerable curiosity among visitors. Equally attention-grabbing was Dragor, an exciting jackpot feature designed to deliver a thrilling, high-impact sense of excitement. Both innovations had previously generated significant interest at G2E in Las Vegas and once again demonstrated their strong market potential in the Eastern European region. The trade fair line-up was rounded off by the cash-handling experts from GeWeTe. The Merkur subsidiary presented its comprehensive product range, including solutions for validating, dispensing, and recycling banknotes and coins, perfectly tailored for gaming machines.

Across both days, Merkur Gaming recorded significant visitor traffic and held numerous valuable discussions with long-standing partners as well as new prospects. “We are pleased with the outcome of this year’s BEGE,” said Marcel Heutmekers, Senior Vice President Merkur Games International. “The exceptionally positive feedback on our products shows that our developments are precisely in line with market expectations. The BEGE was a great way to end the year, and now we are looking forward to 2026 and our appearance at ICE, where visitors can expect a completely refreshed exhibition concept.”
