The Senecas’ compact calls for paying the state 18 percent of net slot machine revenue on an “annual basis” for the first four years of casino operations, but it does not specify a date for the payments. That uncertainity has left city officials guessing when they will be able to spend their share.

New York (Reuters) - Shares in Trump Entertainment Resorts Inc, which owns three casinos in Atlantic City, New Jersey, rose more than 16 percent on Friday on a report that the company is in takeover talks. The Star-Ledger newspaper, citing three people familiar with the talks, reported on Friday that Trump Entertainment was in preliminary talks with Cordish Co., a real estate development firm that was involved in the development of two Hard Rock-branded hotel casinos.

Investors wiped more than AUD 100 million off the value of major gaming companies Tabcorp Holdings Ltd and Tattersall's Ltd on Monday, after the pair warned earnings could be impacted by a horse racing industry shut down.
