Pinnacle Entertainment Inc. said Monday that Hurricane Ike damaged its Lake Charles, La., casino. The storm created a record-high storm surge, which damaged some of the entrance and exit ramps at the L’Auberge du Lac Casino Resort. Pinnacle’s construction team is working with structural engineers and marine experts to inspect and repair the ramps so the company can reopen the casino as quickly as possible, Pinnacle said.

Hancock County – On Saturday, Silver Slipper Casino reopened after damage from Hurricane Gustav was repaired and today the casino was closed by Hurricane Ike. „The casino’s fine,“ said General Manager John Ferrucci, but nobody can get to it because the road is covered with water. If the flooding recedes overnight, the road crews will be out to scrape away the debris and the casino will reopen tomorrow, he said.
