Washington – Tien Duc Vu, 50, pleaded guilty today in San Diego to conspiring to participate in a racketeering enterprise, the "Tran Organization," in a scheme to cheat casinos across the country out of millions of dollars, Acting Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division Matthew Friedrich, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of California Karen P. Joseph Ogundu called it a blunder at the craps table. Greektown Casino and the police who work there called it cheating, and had the 46-year-old West Bloomfield resident charged with a felony and a misdemeanor. In July, 11 months after the incident at the Detroit casino, a Wayne County Circuit Court jury acquitted Ogundu. On Monday, Ogundu returned to Wayne County Circuit Court -- this time, to file a lawsuit against the casino, a State Police officer and an unnamed Detroit cop.

Atlantic City - A former Atlantic City gaming executive who claims she was cheated out of a job after secretly helping financial giant Morgan Stanley on a billion-dollar casino project has won a ruling that keeps her lawsuit alive. Audrey S. Oswell, former president and chief executive officer of Resorts Atlantic City, sued Morgan Stanley last October in a case involving allegations of double-dealing, corporate intrigue and fraud.

The woman who rented the house and another casino card dealer also were sent on a scouting mission to Mississippi to see if the scheme that was used to cheat the Puyallups out of more than USD 1 million would work at an Indian casino there.
