Pitch ICE finalists revealed ahead of ICE Totally Gaming competition

London – Innovators in fields as diverse as fantasy sports, responsible gaming and statistical modelling are among the finalists for this year’s Pitch ICE at ICE Totally Gaming (2 – 4 February, ExCeL Centre, London).

The exciting line-up, which celebrates start-ups in the gaming industry, will feature 14 hopefuls looking to follow last year’s winner Gamevy – which has recorded a 900% increase in value in the ensuing 12 months.

The participants – listed below – will deliver their 15-minute pitches twice at ICE Totally Gaming – the world’s most influential gaming event. Attendees can vote for their favourite via the website of crowdfunding platform GamCrowd, which produces Pitch ICE in partnership with Clarion Events, with the overall winner announced on the final day of ICE.

Each start-up has already produced a pitch video that gives a brief outline of what their business or concept is about. The videos can be viewed at www.gamcrowd.com/pitchice.

Chris North, founder and chief executive at GamCrowd, said he was delighted by the interest shown in the competition.

“We’re really pleased with the quality of entrants for this year’s Pitch ICE competition,” he said. “We are really looking forward to seeing them all take part in this year’s event and once again showcasing the best new ideas about in the industry.”

New to this year’s show is the GamCrowd Studio day on the Thursday at the Pitch ICE stand, which will feature contributions from Gamevy, GamCrowd, law firm Joelson Wilson, start-up accelerator TechStars and gaming technology specialists Grand Parade.

Jo Mayer, Marketing Director responsible for ICE, said: “ICE plays an important role in not only providing a showcase for many of the biggest names in gaming but also in providing a platform for smaller start-up companies with massive ideas. Everyone should be heartened by the experience of Gamevy, last year’s Pitch ICE winner, which has gone on to grow the value of the business by 900% in less than 12 months.

„This is a free, must-attend event for anyone starting a business in the gambling industry and we hope the expanded Pitch ICE will help even more companies at the most important stage in their businesses development.

“The quality of participants in the presentations also shows the willingness of those within the industry to give the invaluable benefit of their years of experience.”
