Marketing professional Matthew Appleby has been appointed to the MarComms team working on IGE, the most international b2b gaming exhibition on the world stage.

Matthew, who holds an Honours Degree in Business with Marketing, will be responsible for co-ordinating the international marketing and communications effort which in January 2010 brought 18,000 buyers from 120 sovereign states to London’s Earls Court Exhibition Centre.

Looking ahead to his new role, he said: “I am delighted to be working for what is a market-leading event operating in a fast moving business sector, driven by technology, trends and regulation. IGE has earned a fantastic reputation within the exhibition/events sectors consistently attracting buyers to London from in excess of 100 nations.

“My target is to build on that success, combine traditional marketing with new media initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement in order to deliver enhanced benefits to exhibitors and visitors alike. It is a great challenge and one which I am looking forward to.”

The 2011 event, which takes place across the 25/26/27 January, will feature over 400 of the world’s leading names in international gaming, representing the industry’s broadest selection of best of breed companies.
