Second International Casino Conference seeks solutions to combat ‘challenging times’

The second International Casino Conference (ICC), taking place on the eve of the 2010 International Gaming Expo under the stewardship of the European Casino Association, will explore in depth a plethora of challenges for operators and their suppliers. The ECA’s one-day symposium, co-hosted by IGE organisers Clarion Gaming and open to all industry professionals, will reconvene at London’s Earls Court Exhibition Centre on 25th January.

After last January’s successful inaugural event, industry insiders, CEOs, experts, operators, regulators and opinion leaders will again converge on the ICC for frank and revealing discussions on the most pressing issues currently being faced by the European casino industry. High on the agenda will be the impact that rising unemployment and greater job insecurity is having on disposable incomes and discretionary spend, alongside growing competition from online and remote gaming channels, EU regulations affecting operators’ ability to maintain revenue bases and the rising tide of competing new products from the media, telecoms and other sectors.

The Conference, which also incorporates an exclusive networking party for all attending delegates, will analyse how the casino industry is responding to these and other challenges, seek to identify the major opportunities and threats over the coming year, reveal what operators can do to more easily anticipate future trends and consider the implications of undergoing a complete transition.
