Kansas City area riverboat casinos’ December revenue rises

The market reported combined month revenue of USD 58.6 million

The Kansas City area’s four riverboat casinos posted a combined 1.5 increase in December revenue and a 5.4 increase in customers compared with the same month a year earlier.

The Kansas City market reported combined December revenue of USD 58.6 million, up from USD 57.8 million in December 2007, according to statistics the Missouri Gaming Commission released Monday. The four casinos’ combined customer count was 861,919, up from 817,991 a year earlier.

Argosy Casino & Hotel Kansas City had the biggest revenue increase. It’s revenue for the month was USD 16.4 million, up 4.8 % from USD 15.7 million a year earlier. The casino had 218,901 customers in December, up from 201,315 a year earlier.

Harrah’s North Kansas City Casino & Hotel reported revenue of USD 16.4 million, up 1.2 % from USD 16.2 million a year earlier. The casino had 243,022 customers, up from 217,292 a year earlier.

Ameristar Casino & Hotel Kansas City posted revenue of USD 19.73 million, down less than 1 percent from USD 19.75 million a year earlier. The casino had 284,544 customers, up from 283,203 a year earlier.

Isle of Capri Casino Kansas City reported revenue of USD 6.06 million, down 1.2 % from USD 6.14 million a year earlier. The casino had 115,452 customers, down from 116,181 a year earlier.
