Casinos expanding hours in South Florida

Even though Governor Charlie Crist had his compact with the Seminole Indians voided, he is still on his way to getting what he wants for the state, expanded gambling options. South Florida casinos are leading the way. Dania Jai-Alai has become the latest establishment to expand the hours of operation for their poker room.

Dania Jai-Alai has become the latest establishment to expand the hours of operation for their poker room. It will now be open from noon to at least 3:00 A.M. on Friday and Saturday nights.

This is not the first poker room in South Florida to expand their hours. Mardi Gras Gaming went to twenty four hour poker back on July 1st. In 2007, the state began to allow pari-mutuels to expand their hours. Mardi Gras was the first to receive approval from the state to expand, and now Dania is following suit.

With casino gambling becoming a competitive business in South Florida, it is expected that all of the pari-mutuels’ poker rooms will eventually be twenty four hours. In order to keep up with the Seminole gaming locations, expanded hours are a must.
