CAI opens new Casino in Chile

Gran Casino Los Angeles opens to the public on 29 July 2008, bringing an exciting new tourist attraction to southern Chile

Los Angeles/Chile, 29 July 2008 – Casinos Austria International (CAI) today announced the launch of its newest casino in South America. Situated in the capital of Bio-Bio province in southern Chile, Gran Casino Los Angeles celebrates its opening on 29 July 2008 with an official ceremony and cocktail reception attended by local dignitaries, representatives of the gaming authorities, invited guests and journalists.

„We are very excited about our new casino,“ said Gabriel Benvenuto, General Manager of Gran Casino Los Angeles. „The interior has been inspired by the amazing natural surroundings around Los Angeles. With its original woodwork and modern, spacious design, Gran Casino Los Angeles is a great new attraction in the heart of the city.“

With its impressive choice of 12 gaming tables (4 American Roulette, 2 Caribbean Poker, 2 Blackjack, 1 Punto y Banca, 1 Mini Craps), 200 slot machines and a 40-seat Bingo room, the gaming experience at Gran Casino Los Angeles is unrivalled in the region. Additional guest facilities include a welcoming bar with an extensive selection of local wines, fresh fruit cocktails and typical Chilean drinks as well as a top-class restaurant serving a delicious array of local and Mediterranean specialties.

„Gran Casino Los Angeles has already created 100 new jobs and will be an important new tourist attraction for the area, continued Benvenuto. Our dedicated team of local employees has been extensively trained and is looking forward to the launch of our exciting new casino.“

The complex will also feature a 5-star hotel with 90 guest rooms, spa facilities and a conference center for up to 500 persons, which is due to open at the turn of the year.

The culmination of over a year of intensive preparations, the new casino takes CAI further south than ever before. The Vienna-based casino development and management company was awarded the license to develop and operate a casino in the southern Chilean city of Los Angeles in July 2006. The companys extensive know-how and experience as an international casino operator were key factors in the selection of the Austrian bid following a multi-phase tender process.
