ICEi, the remote gaming sector within the International Gaming Expo (27-29 January, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London), has confirmed its status as one of the fastest growing gaming expos in Europe, with news that the 2009 edition will occupy 2,600 square metres of net floor space, a year-on-year increase of close to 40 per cent and a 75 per cent uplift on the 2007 figure of 1,480sqm.

ICEi’s continued growth comes on the back of a record breaking 2008 show which featured 69 exhibitors drawn from 20 different jurisdictions. Anthony Medica, Clarion Gaming’s Sales Executive responsible for ICEi, commented: „2008 was a record-breaking year on a number of fronts. The final attendance figures confirmed that 2,861 unique i-gaming professionals drawn from 68 jurisdictions made the journey to London, a year-on-year increase of 21.2 per cent. These factors contributed massively to generating what was a universally positive response from all of our various stakeholders.“

Looking forward to 2009 he added: „The international remote gaming community continues to see ICEi as its exhibition of preference and demand for the additional space is strong with all indicators pointing to there being another great show in 2009.“
