Novomatic would operate one of Gran Scala hotel casinos

International Leisure Development (ILD), the pool of companies that promotes Gran Scala complex, signed the first definite agreement with a gambling company in order to manage a casino hotel in Los Monegros. The company is Novomatic, located in Austria.

The agreement was signed last week in London, a city in which ILD has a venue, in which executives developed last week intensive negotiations with operators of the gambling sector within International Casino Exhibition 2008 (ICE).

International Leisure Development signed installation agreements weeks ago with at least eight casino operators. However, the signing of these contracts is pending in the venues of these companies, most of them from US, in which the process for these type of agreements is usually delayed.

Novomatic, located in Vienna, was founded in 1980. Admiral Casinos & Entertainment and Casino Systems Holding are part of the holding, although the group is comprised by forty societies. It dedicates to the development of technology for gambling machines, as well as the casino management. Dispone de un parque de 20.000 tragamonedas distribuidas en 240 casinos.

On top of Austria, Novomatic manages gambling venues in Central Europe (Praga and Montreux) and in Balkans, as Zagreb. It has also expanded to the Baltic Countries (it operates Olympic Casino in Tallín, Estonia capital) and South Africa.

The Austrian group has doubled its earnings before taxes in the latest two exercises, from 91 million euros in 2005 to 195.9 in 2006. Funds dedicated to investments grew in a smaller proportion, because in this period in increased from 65.1 to 162.5. In these three exercises, it passed from 2,737 to 4,370 employees.

Novomatic is working in the development of games of chance content for digital TV platforms.
