New Zealand Gaming Expo 2008 focuses on industry and leadership issues

The organizers of the New Zealand Gaming Expo announced that the trade exhibition and conference program at the Sky City Auckland Convention Centre, to be held next March 4-5, are 90% booked to capacity.

“We are looking forward to another successful gaming event – showcasing the latest gaming machines and technology, and hearing from a stellar line-up of a select few accomplished presenters who are visionaries in their selected industries,” said Ross Ferrar, Executive Officer of the event’s organizer, the Australasian Gaming Machine Manufacturers Association.

The exhibition, open from 12-5pm on both days is complimentary for gaming industry representatives and media, and includes Advance Gaming Ltd, Ainsworth Game Technology, Anztec Limited, Aristocrat Technologies, Fortune Corporation, Gaming Inc Limited, IGT (NZ) Ltd, IndeServe, New Zealand ATM Services Ltd, Salamander Systems, Abacus New Zealand and K & S Security, Sprintquip/Enterprise, Stargames Corporation and The Department of Internal Affairs.

The conference program features renowned former New Zealand cricketer Sir Richard Hadlee, successful business leader and Sky City Chairman Rod McGeoch AM, and communications expert and best-selling author Allan Pease.

“Each of these speakers are leaders in their respective fields with outstanding career highlights, and we are delighted that they have agreed to share their experiences and opinions with delegates of the New Zealand Gaming Expo,” explained Ferrar. “They will deliver compelling insights into business development and company strategies, leadership, communication and other techniques for success,” he said.

New Zealand is home to six casinos, 630 lottery retail outlets, race and sports betting through around 500 Totalisator Agency Board (TAB) outlets and around 20,000 gaming machines in non-casino venues.

AGMMA hosts and operates the Australasian Gaming Expo and the New Zealand Gaming Expo. It is a not-for-profit industry association whose members provide technology and equipment to hospitality venues in over 250 jurisdictions around the world.

The New Zealand Gaming Expo provides experiences to learn about the most recent developments in the country’s gaming industry, business networking opportunities, as well as viewing the latest technology products and services.
