Novomatic Lottery Solutions goes live with Loteria de Catalunya

Novomatic announces that its subsidiary Novomatic Lottery Solutions (NLS) has successfully launched its leading omni-channel lottery system for Loteria de Catalunya. This groundbreaking solution integrates the Catalonian Lottery’s sales network across retail, internet and mobile, delivering state-of-the-art technology that gives the Lottery’s customers access to its products from any channel.

On April 1, 2016 the technologically advanced NLS lottery system went online connecting the Lottery’s entire retail estate using the most modern point of sale devices and telecommunications infrastructure. The system supports all of the existing games such as ‘Loto Ràpid’, ‘6/49’, ‘Trio’, ‘Super 10’ and ‘La Grossa’, as well as brand new scratch card games that were specifically developed by the local team for the local market.

“This is part one of a two stage delivery,” explained Miriam Lindhorst, CEO of NLS. “In phase two, we will deliver the full omni-channel experience. After the summer, the Lottery’s customers will be able to play Loto Ràpid from their mobile phones while travelling on the bus, or buy La Grossa with a simple click from their tablet or PC,” adding, “At NLS, we are confident that the introduction of our modern technology and comprehensive solutions will make a significant difference to Loteria de Catalunya.and its good causes,” affirming the lottery’s slogan of ‘tria-la, tots hi guanyem’ (‘choose it, we all win’).

NLS, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Novomatic Group, has its roots in Iceland and currently employees over 300 people in seven locations across Europe and the USA. “This incredibly smooth and successful launch in Catalonia is proof not only that our technology works, but also that we are able to deliver a smooth and risk free conversion for our customers,” said Frank Cecchini CEO of NLS in Austria. “In one swift and sure project, a single platform delivers retail, internet and mobile sales,” he continued, “which is demonstrable proof that NLS keeps its promises.”
