Management Board Division ‘New Media’ occupied for first time
Espelkamp. Alexander Martin will assume responsibility as new Gauselmann AG director for the business segment ‘New Media’ from 1st July onwards. “We made the decision to create a separate management board position here due to the continually increasing importance of internet gaming in society and also within the company”, explained chairman Paul Gauselmann who is convinced that this is a business segment that also belongs to the future although New Media can never replace terrestrial gaming in arcades and pubs/restaurants. “We are very pleased that we have been able to gain a proven expert for our company in Mr. Martin. His ideas and driving force will complement the management board in as many areas as possible, making these even more future-proof with his energetic contribution”, added Paul Gauselmann.
The 40 year-old Alexander Martin graduated in computer science and was previously active as management consultant at A.T. Kearny in Düsseldorf, one the world’s leading management consulting companies. Alexander Martin has developed and established new business models in companies and markets inter alia on the basis of modern technologies during his long-standing international advisory activities. One of his core competencies is the so-called digital transformation. This includes connecting traditional business models with the digital world. “His experience and successes in this segment will advance our positive efforts to introduce and successfully market games with and about New Media to a global audience”, concluded Paul Gauselmann.
