International Gaming Awards raised money for charity and celebrated in style

A busy week for the gambling industry got under way in style at the Savoy Hotel London on 3 February 2014 as the entire gaming community rubbed shoulders, clinked glasses and celebrated achievements at the International Gaming Awards.
The evening was opened by Debi Nutton via Video link from Wynn Las Vegas. With the most special award of the evening, the Outstanding Contribution Award going to Dr Lui Che-woo Chairman of the Galaxy Entertainment Group, the owner of multi award winning resorts in Macau, China. The award was presented by Mr Andrew Love The Executive Chairman of the Ritz Club, who also the Chairman of the Judging panel at the International Gaming Awards. Dr Lui Che-woo is a worldwide entrepreneur and the second richest man in Asia with a most colourful career that started at the age of thirteen. The glittering Gala Awards dinner held at the Savoy Hotel in London on 3 February 2014 in support of Care International charity and Responsible Gambling Trust. Attended by the most influential professionals of the Gaming industry from Landbased and iGaming companies and supported by generous sponsors.
The Charity Auction was supported by 7Red with a donation of a boxing glove signed by 8 times Heavyweight Champion Mike Tyson in Las Vegas in November 2013 and Mr Green who kindly donated Tiffany & Co bracelet for auction. The evening raised over £6000 for Care International charity.

Successful operators, brands and gaming equipment manufacturers demonstrated true imagination, creativity and – especially – effectiveness to impress the judges. The awards are decided after an exceptionally rigorous judging process conducted by the most senior movers and shakers in the gaming industry.
Amongst the winners were some great examples of impressive companies including PokerStars as Poker operator of the year, Rank Group as Socially Responsible operator of the Year and Galaxy Entertainment Group as Best Asian operator, Paddy Power scooped Socially Responsible Operator online, Sportsbook was taken home by Unibet and best casino online went to Mr Green.
