Merkur Gaming’s strategy for success is based on the understanding of how crucial cultural and local player customs are. For this reason, the enterprise that can look back on decades of success has created a far-reaching international games collection. The products from Gauselmann are strongly oriented towards player needs. Thus, operators from all around the world can receive the right games mix depending on the target market to match customer preferences with Merkur Gaming products. Furthermore, the enterprise stands out due to its broad themes diversity, gripping features as well as free games and of course outstanding product quality of the gaming machines that carry the ‘made in Germany’ seal of approval.

The positive echo from the stand visitors highlighted how much Merkur Gaming connects with player zeitgeist. “Our stand was exceptionally well visited on all three exhibition days. That makes us proud and shows that our gaming machines, our company philosophy as well as our exhibition stand entirely meet the needs of our customers. And thus our expectations were more fulfilled at this year’s ICE in London”, summed up Thomas Niehenke, COO of the Gauselmann Group, after three successful show days in London. “It was not just our excellent product portfolio but also our long-standing international experience that truly struck a cord with our business partners. Merkur Gaming stand out as a reliable partner due to its history of many years of success as well as a guarantor for sustaining collaborations to secure future-oriented investments. In addition to this, we place particular emphasis as one of the leading companies in global gaming on the field of research and development”.

A further success that Merkur Gaming noted at ICE was the sealing of two large orders to deliver gaming machines to the British market.

The modified WB-5 Privilege cabinet counted as one of the show highlights at this year’s ICE. The Privilege is a new wide-bodied upright cabinet that contains two 22” monitors for optimal games presentation. It stands out particularly due to its ergonomic form that offers players maximum comfort. In addition to this, Merkur Gaming presented two new jackpot systems: A new VLT jackpot for the Czech market as well as Jackpot Rain for international casino markets.

The subsidiaries GeWeTe and edict egaming were also present on the exhibition stand in London.

Alongside the Privilege upright cabinet and the Evolution slant top cabinet, Merkur Gaming received acclaim for the unique ‘Highflyer’. Here the upper monitor seems to be floating in the air. This enables players to choose between different sitting positions: The standard position is looking at the lower monitor or players can lean back and focus on the floating monitor. A further benefit: players have a better view of their surroundings as the Highflyer monitors are separated and so they can enjoy gaming in a more relaxed fashion in the entertainment centre.

A further focus for Merkur Gaming lays on solutions for the market for video-lottery-terminals (VLTs) and server-based-gaming (SBG). Operators focussed particularly on how Merkur Gaming can support them in this important market. Merkur Gaming already successfully operates VLT and SBG solutions around the world and so can make use of a broad wealth of experience. Furthermore, the extensive games library with a total of 90 varied games offers the right games mix for each and every player.

This innovative money management system can store and pay out up to 102 banknotes in three separate denominations. More than 87,000 units are already in daily operation. Merkur Gaming has further enhanced the Merkur Dispenser 100 for global markets to offer the Ticket-in / Ticket-out feature.

Merkur Gaming was joined by the two further Gauselmann subsidiaries GeWeTe and edict egaming on its stand. GeWeTe, the leading manufacturer of change machines in Germany, presented its wide range of change and payment systems. edict egaming is the specialist for online gaming platforms and is specialised in the development and technical operation of online casino solutions and system platforms for the gaming market.

Approx. 100 invited guests of the ‘Merkur Advisory Board’ had the chance to witness the progression of the international market during the first day of the exhibition. The ‘Merkur Advisory Board’ is the central forum for dialogue and an important informal advisory committee between the Gauselmann companies and the most significant customers of the German AWP industry. Te operators visited the stand of the subsidiary of the Gauselmann Group to receive information on the international product novelties from the think tank of the ‘games maker’. Further items of the agenda included a meeting of the advisory board in London as well as a visit to Rolls Royce in Goodwood and an entertaining evening in a London pub.
