Responsible gambling agency to show at ATEI/ICE

GamCare, the only UK charity working to promote socially responsible attitudes to gambling, will have stand 1634 at January´s 2003 ATEI/ICE exhibition in London. The stand space has been donated by ATE, the organising company responsible for staging the London gaming, gambling and amusements spectacular.

Whilst the overwhelming majority of the 425+ exhibitors from 40 nations will be in London to promote their latest products and services, GamCare view their presence as an opportunity to consolidate existing and build new relationships with the international industry, as the organisation´s Teresa Tunstall explained: „2002 was our first time as exhibitors at ATEI/ICE and it was a hugely successful three days. The fact that ATEI/ICE and the gambling sector as a whole embrace GamCare so readily is testimony to the progressive approach the industry takes. It´s crucial that GamCare have a presence at ATEI/ICE because everybody who is anybody in the industry, both from the UK and abroad, visits the London shows.“

Although predominantly a UK specific agency, GamCare´s presence at the 2002 show provided an opportunity to forge links with a number of international organisations including its French counterpart SOS Joueurs, whom GamCare is advising across a range of issues. Other developments have seen GamCare in an advisory role to Olympic Casinos in Estonia and developing a training course for MGM´s Isle of Man-based call centre.

Looking ahead to January´s co-located shows Teresa said: „We are delighted at ATE´s donation of space at what is the most significant event of its kind for us. Our attendance will provide an unparalleled opportunity to raise profile and continue our work in partnership with the industry.“
