Casinos Austria International voted Best European Casino Operator for the third time at the International Gaming Awards 2011 in London.

Casinos Austria International (CAI) has been voted “Best European Casino Operator” for the third time at the prestigious International Gaming Awards 2011. The awards were presented at a black tie event at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower in London on 24 January. CAI also won the award in this category in 2008 and 2009, as well as the award for Social Responsible Casino Operator in 2010.

With the opening of three impressive new casino entertainment centers during 2010 – Viage in Brussels, RP5 in Hanover and The Corinthian Club in Glasgow – CAI once again attracted the praise of the judges. Other finalists in this category included Casino 2000, Club Hotel Casino Loutraki, Groupe Lucien Barriere, Holland Casino, London Clubs International, Olympic Entertainment Group and Rank Group.

Accepting the award on behalf of Casinos Austria International, CEO Paul Herzfeld said: “We consider it a great honor to have won this award for the third time. We are extremely proud of our portfolio of casinos both in Europe and around the world. This award is a clear indication of the success of our business strategy and a strong public recognition of our achievements.”

The “Best European Casino Operator” award is presented to the operator that has consistently and decisively dominated the casino sector in Europe during the year. Judges were looking for those operators that have the vision, originality and vitality to set them apart from others in the market place. Finalists were judged on aspects like brand identity, marketing, customer service, innovation and use of new technologies. Awards were presented in a total of 17 categories, with winners selected in an extensive judging process by a series of juries comprising leading international industry professionals, journalists, analysts, consultants and representatives of the main sponsors.
