Espelkamp/London. Merkur Gaming, a Gauselmann Group subsidiary, displayed its new corporate design at this year’s IGE that took place between 26th and 28th January 2010 in Earls Court Centre in London. The complete new appearance underlines the company’s repositioning as specialist for the development and international sales of AWP’s and casino slot machines as well as Video Lottery Terminals (VLT) with the focus on multi-games. The attention to detail of Merkur Gaming’s stylishly designed stand was apparent and drew numerous visitors. The team from Merkur Gaming thus presented its innovative products in a very pleasant and comfortable atmosphere.

It was not only the impressive company stand that enthused customers but moreover the broad product range for international markets. Frank Ziegler, Director Sales & Marketing was satisfied with the response from the IGE: “The constant stream of visitors from Europe, Central and South America has exceeded our expectations. Visitors showed very strong interest in the Merkur Gaming machines and we were able to establish many promising contacts”.

Games Unlimited conquers European markets

The already successfully established family brand ‘Games Unlimited’ impressed with the adapted games corresponding to country-specific requirements. The latest games packages in particular were very well received by customers.

Besides the first video-based AWP ‘Master Games’ for the Spanish market, Merkur Gaming launched a further innovative video product – ‘Games Unlimited’ with features that have already been triumphant in other markets. Naturally Merkur Gaming also presented the popular reel-based AWP ‘Nefertiti’ as well as the new reel machine ‘La Africana’ on its stand.

The company also presented the latest highlights for the Italian market from its first multi-game product line ‘Merkur Magic’ at the IGE. This unique multigame line has already been presented at the Enada Roma exhibition and now offers for all types of operation an optimal solution thanks to its variety in diversified games. Most of all, the novel ‘Merkur Magic VLT’ was the centre of much enthusiasm among Italian visitors due to the combination of its innovative adp Gauselmann technology as well as numerous enthralling features. Furthermore, the presentation of the ‘VLT-Jackpot’ was a complete success which initially is available exclusively for the Italian market. Johannes Mayr, Sales Manager Italy, was particularly pleased with the feedback: “The new VLT-Jackpot really drew the crowd in for the Italian sector. Many visitors showed real interest”.
Merkur Gaming could also continue to offer proven German quality to Italian customers with both new video products ‘Triple Chance’ and ‘Tropical Heat’ as single games. The innovative reel-based AWP ‘First Place’ rounded off the wide product range for Italy.

Naturally the products for the Czech and Slovakian VLT market could also not be amiss at the exhibition. ‘Games Unlimited VLT’ and ‘Games Unlimited MLT’ – with twelve and eight games respectively enthused the visitors.

Just like last year the revolutionary product for optimal money management – the ‘Merkur Dispenser 100’ – attracted much attention. During its development the strong focus was not only on the high note capacity but in particular on comprehensive safety features. The ‘Merkur Dispenser 100’ can accept six different note denominations and pay out three of these. Besides the Euro the ‘Merkur Dispenser 100’ can also accept further European currencies.

New hardware as impressive eye-catcher

Merkur Gaming’s brand new slant-top cabinet ‘Evolution’ made real waves. This innovation ‘made by Gauselmann’ with a fully chromed design border and impressive 26“ TFT monitors was a real eye-catcher on the stand. “With this cabinet we have a top product for the international markets. The touchscreen monitor ensures maximum gaming comfort and the individually adjustable border lighting creates the right casino feeling for each and every setting. Thanks to optimal access to the technology inside, technicians profit from the new slant-top cabinet ‘Evolution’ as well”, comments Frank Ziegler with due pride.

Affiliated companies with successful appearances

‘Blueprint Gaming’ unveiled innovations for the British market on Merkur Gaming’s stand. Just like former years the Gauselmann subsidiary GeWeTe presented its broad product range for the money changing sector at the IGE. Similarly, adp Gauselmann GmbH displayed its latest products for the German market in London.

At the end of a successful exhibition day customers gladly accepted Merkur Gaming’s invitation and finished off the trip to the exhibition with a relaxing glass of sparkling wine.
