Successful certification of information security management system in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001:2013 allows technology leap at insic

Ahrensburg - For the first time, the information security management system of insic GmbH has been successfully certified according to the standards DIN EN ISO/IEC 27001:2013.

At the beginning of December 2022, a corresponding audit was carried out by TÜV Rheinland and the certificate has now been granted.

"This certification confirms that insic's procedures for identification and requirements according to the provisions of the GlüStV as well as the GwG are reliably and secure operated,“ says Gunter Fricke, CEO of insic GmbH.

"The introduction of the information security management system at insic GmbH is a team effort that represents a milestone in the process of transforming a mature start-up into a midsized family-run business. In this context, internal processes have been standardised, sales, business development and technical management have been outsourced from the management to the team and the character as a strongly owner-managed company has been further developed in favour of distributed responsibility.

We have succeeded in offering the employees apprenticed in the company a long-term perspective and a secure job in an exciting market environment. In this context, we would also like to point out the bond with our long-standing employees in Ukraine, who, despite the restrictions, convince us every day with their commitment and competence.

The potential from the consistent realignment on the basis of the certification process and the strong growth in transaction volumes in 2022 led to a significant cost advantage, which we were able to pass on to our customers at the turn of the year," adds Ben Fricke, who, as Information Security Officer, is also responsible for the development and compliance with security standards for the realignment. The changeover to the new ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard has also been largely completed, so that insic's own customers benefit from insic's knowledge advantage in this context as well.

The special combination of unique products, distinctive specialist knowledge and the support of our long-standing customers and partners such as SCHUFA AG will enable us to continue to develop the standards of IT security and internal quality standards in innovative services in future.

In the first quarter of 2023 insic supplies the LUGAS Safe Server in anticipation of the expected expansion for sports betting, a new passport recognition system, the development of the self-hosting approach in combination with the proven insic SAAS operating concept and the switch to serverless computing technologies for maximum scalability.

"For the second quarter, we see new products in the context of the revised JMStV and the extended assessment practice of the KJM as well as the further development of our technology for the mega-carriers in our segment. We're staying tuned!" promises the insic team.
