ECA European Dealer Championship 2010

11 – 12 May 2010, Vilnius, Lithuania

4th ECA European Dealer Championship to be held in Vilnius, Lithuania on May 11 and 12, 2010.

Brussels – The European Casino Association (ECA) today announced that the European Dealer Championship 2010 will take place on May 11 and 12, 2010 at the Olympic Casino in the Reval Hotel Lietuva, Vilnius, Lithuania.

Now in its 4th year, the European Dealer Championship attracts top dealers from across Europe, who come together to demonstrate their skills and craftsmanship at the Roulette and Blackjack tables. Participants are judged not only on their technical competence and control of the game, but also on their hospitality and entertainment skills as they deal to expert juries of European casino managers and gaming industry professionals.

„We are delighted to be holding the 2010 European Dealer Championship in one of the newest EU Member States,“ said ECA Chairman Ron Goudsmit. „Following the tremendous displays of professionalism shown by contestants in previous years, we are greatly looking forward to seeing the winners of the 2010 national heats in action at the Final in the Lithuanian capital.“

Saulius Petravicius, Managing Director of Olympic Casino Lithuania also expressed his delight at the choice of venue: „Casino gaming is a relatively young industry in Lithuania, and we are proud to have been given the opportunity to host this event and demonstrate the hospitality and professionalism on offer in our casinos! Events of this kind are extremely important for the reputation of our industry and the people who work in our casinos. The European Dealer Championship provides a clear demonstration of the professional, technical and social skills needed to be a good dealer and the service excellence enjoyed at casinos across the whole of Europe.“

Launched in 2007, the ECA’s annual European Dealer Championship has already firmly established itself as one of the highlights in the European gaming calendar. The championship provides European dealers with the opportunity to showcase their high levels of professionalism and promote best practices in creating a welcoming, fun, safe and fair environment in European casinos. In 2009, the title of „European Dealer of the Year“ was won by Marjolein Clarijs from Holland Casino Breda in the Netherlands, who beat 30 other top dealers from 19 countries in two intense days of competition at Casino Cosmopol in Malmö, Sweden.
