G2E Asia 2009 draws thousands of Gaming Professionals from the Asian Region

Macau – G2E Asia 2009 successfully concluded last week in Macau, with a total of 135 companies from 20 regions exhibiting and over 4,300 industry professionals attending the annual event for the Asian gaming industry. Most of the attendees were gaming professionals from Macau who made up nearly 40 percent of the total attendance. A majority of the rest came from countries across the Asian region, including Australia, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam.

„There is no question that G2E Asia is the most important event for the Asian gaming industry. It continues to be a very effective platform for us to meet with our customers in Macau as well as from the other Asian markets. And at this challenging time, we find more value in participating in this event than ever,“ said Mr. Simon Lai, vice president, Jumbo Technology Co. Ltd.

One of the highlights of this year’s event was the presentation of the G2E Asia Visionary Award. Hundreds of gaming professionals from the Asian gaming industry gathered to see Dr. Stanley Ho receive this prestigious award from the chief executive of Macau SAR, Mr. Edmund Ho and were inspired by Dr. Ho’s keynote remarks at the event’s Opening Ceremony on June 3.

G2E Asia is the premier gaming exhibition and conference dedicated to the Asian gaming markets. The fourth annual event is scheduled to be held June 8-10, 2010, at the Venetian Macau. For more information about G2E Asia, visit www.G2EAsia.com.
