Macau – The 2009 Global Gaming Expo Asia (G2E Asia) Gaming Management Certificate program will help the next generation of industry leaders understand the implications of the current economy and provide them with the tools to navigate this and future challenges. Produced in partnership with the University of Macau and the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) Singapore campus, this special offering includes a keynote luncheon with Lawrence Ho, co-chairman & CEO of Melco Crown Entertainment, and a full day of professional development workshops. The G2E Asia Gaming Management Certificate program will take place in conjunction with G2E Asia 2009 on June 2 at the Cotai Strip® CotaiExpo™ at the Venetian Macau.

„Sound leadership in the gaming industry begins with access to the best resources and insight, and these future leaders are key components to the recovery and future success of the Asian gaming market,“ said Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr., president and CEO of the American Gaming Association. „G2E Asia, the University of Macau and UNLV Singapore have once again joined forces to provide new casino managers with the education and tools to prepare them to lead Asian gaming in the years to come.“

The 2009 G2E Asia Gaming Management Certificate program will include a special keynote luncheon open only to certificate program and G2E Asia Conference attendees. During the keynote address, Lawrence Ho, a successful leader in the Asian gaming industry, will share his thoughts and advice on succeeding in the Asian gaming market.

The G2E Asia Gaming Management Certificate program also will offer a full day of professional development workshops designed specifically for new casino managers and supervisors. The expert-led sessions will help attendees develop the professional skills and knowledge to thrive during the challenging economy and when facing future hurdles. Sessions will include „Keys to Success: Sustainable Growth in the Casino Industry“ and „Down but Not Out: Marketing Strategies for Tough Economic Times“. An additional session, sponsored by the National Center for Responsible Gaming and titled „When the Fun Stops: Responsible Gaming Challenges in Asia“, will address issues relating to gambling disorders and responsible gaming.

Enrollment for the G2E Asia Gaming Management Certificate program is limited in order to provide attendees with an interactive and intimate learning environment. Gaming professionals who attend the program will receive an official certificate of completion from G2E Asia, the University of Macau and UNLV Singapore. The program also coincides with the day-long“Global Markets Forum“, part of the specially-tailored conference content at G2E Asia 2009.
