€ 700,000 for the Casinos Austria Poker Tour

The Casinos Austria Poker Tour (CAPT) 2009 is being launched in the world-renown Olympic resort area of Seefeld in the Tyrolean mountains. From 9 to 18 January the first event of the CAPT is taking place at Casino Seefeld. As one of the highlights of the European poker scene, the CAPT attracts guests from all over the world. This year there are seven tournament weeks in seven casinos.

Casino Seefeld poker manager Marcel Pipal anticipates over 400 players from more than 15 nations and prize money of € 700,000, which will be paid out during the course of the tournament week. Casino Seefeld recommends all participants get their tickets to the tournament soon. For the first time at Casinos Austria there is an opportunity to secure a place with a down-payment of ten percent of the buy-in.

€ 22,000 for the best overall player

In Seefeld the first points for the tour’s special prize can already be gathered. Casinos Austria is providing € 22,000 for the best overall player ranking. All Texas Hold’em No Limit Freezeout tournaments with a buy-in of € 500 or more will be counted.

Afterward Casino Seefeld is holding a supersatellite on Wednesday, 14 January at 23.00 for the popular players party. The poker party of the year will take place at a local bar in the Seefeld pedestrian zone in the direct vicinity of the casino.

Casino Seefeld is offering yet another highlight. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Casino Seefeld in 2009 there is a special offer for all guests throughout the year. For € 25 all guests receive € 25 of playing capital and a 40 percent discount on the beverages offered at the casino bar.
