A comprehensive report on casinos said the state could reap USD 596.7 million in total annual government revenues if state legislators legalized three destination casinos.

The report was released by the administration of Governor Deval L. Patrick. It was completed by Spectrum Gaming Group of Linwood. In the past, Spectrum has worked for casinos and governments around the world. The report said the three casinos would generate between USD 1.23 billion and USD 1.78 billion in annual gross gaming revenues in their first year of operations.

The report, billed as a comprehensive analysis, was completed for USD 189,000. The administration announced the hiring of the company in February. It could set the stage for the governor to again file legislation next year to approve casinos. The state House of Representatives rejected his bill earlier this year.
