The City of Wanneroo is pushing to be the base for Perth’s second casino.

The Mayor of Wanneroo, Jon Kelly, says the city of is facing a shortfall of up to 70,000 jobs within 25 years unless a major infrastructure project is launched in the area.

He says a casino, built on the coast between Alkimos and Two Rocks, is one of the best options to bring foreign investment and tourism to the area.

„There’s a need for a major infrastructure project in the North-West corridor, somewhere between Alkimos and Two Rocks, “ he said.

„Perhaps one of the best ways to achieve this is to have a big win in terms of foreign investment and the tourism industry, and one of the best options in that respect is a casino.“
