Pinnacle’s USD 250 million Baton Rouge project approved

Pinnacle Entertainment informed that voters in East Baton Rouge Parish approved the development and construction of Riviere, the company’s USD 250 million gaming entertainment complex that will be built on more than 222 hectares in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The gaming resort project will offer sweeping views of the Mississippi River similar to Pinnacle’s USD 507 million Lumiere Place casino and entertainment complex located by the river in downtown St. Louis.

The company opened Lumiere Place in December 2007. Pinnacle also has a second casino development project under construction in the St. Louis area, whose opening is dependent upon final approval by the Missouri Gaming Commission.

River City, located in Lemay, is scheduled to open in the first half of 2009, pending approval from the Missouri Gaming Commission. The planned 8,361 sqm casino will be situated on approximately 32 hectares of land leased from the St. Louis County Port Authority.

Pinnacle Entertainment is a Las Vegas-based company that owns and operates casinos in Missouri, Nevada, Louisiana, Indiana, Argentina and the Bahamas.
