China’s Attractions Received 95.978 Million Visitors During Dragon Boat Festival

Over the 3-day holiday of this year’s Dragon Boat Festival, Chinese tourist spots counted 95.978 visits, up 7.7% y/y, collecting 39.33 billion yuan revenue, an increase of 8.6%, as reported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China. The report also found that aquariums, water parks, theme parks, and etc were the most-visited spots, followed by natural attractions, rural resorts, and etc. As it was only a 3-day short break, most people preferred attractions within 3-hour driving distance. Private cars and high-speed rails were most people’s go-to transportation. 70% visitors traveled within 300km from their homes.
