Casinos Austria International voted European Casino Operator 2008 at the Empire Events Gaming Awards in London.

Vienna – Casinos Austria International (CAI) is proud to announce that it has been voted Winner in the“Casino Operator Europe“ category at the prestigious Empire Events Gaming Awards 2008 in London.

The 2008 awards were announced at a black tie dinner in the Millennium Gloucester Hotel Kensington on 21 January. One of the largest industry gatherings of the year, the event was a true celebration of the gaming industry and its achievements. It also offered organizations, associations, manufacturers and operators an opportunity to join together in support of two deserving charities: all profits from the event were donated to Macmillan Cancer Support and Care International.

Also shortlisted in the Casino Operator Europe category were Storm International, London Clubs International, Groupe Lucien Barrière, Groupe Partouche and Casino Campiogne.

Awards were presented in a total of 17 categories, with winners selected in an extensive judging process by a series of juries comprising leading international industry professionals, specialized journalists, analysts and representatives of the main sponsors.

The Gaming Awards 2008 are managed by Empire Events, a subsidiary of Empire Casino Recruitment Ltd. The company plans to hold the Awards Ceremony in a different part of the world each year, supporting more charities around the globe.
