Spanish casinos doubled their collection in six years

Casinos have doubled its collection in Spain in the latest six years. According to the National Institute of Statistics, the quantity of the money played in this type of gambling centers have passed from 1,381.2 million euros in 1999 to 2,444,83 in 2005.

USD 1,735 million of that quantity are bet in the table games while 709 million are played in slots. Most of the increments in casino expenses have been allocated to card games, in which bets have increased in USD 654 million in six financial years.

Something similar occurs with the quantity of money bet per habitant. Casino bets doubled in those six years, from 27.73 euros to 55.43. Slots activity increased from 188,51 euros a year to 243.24. On the contrary, there was a decrease in bingo activity, in with bets per person decreased from 92.14 euros to 86,91.

There was also an increment on casino visitors. In two years, from 2003 to 2005, the number of people which entered to Spanish casinos increased from 2.96 million to 3.47 million. The figure increased in nine of fourteen communities. In Aragón, it rised from 72,190 to 83,161 in that period.
