Fines will be applied to bingos and casinos in Venezuela

Seniat, the Venezuelan tax administration agency, has planned the verification of other bingo halls and casinos in the region of Guayana for the following days, where they will proceed to the confiscation of equipments in case the contributor does not fit in with the regulation of the public administration.

Within the transformation of the plans “Evasion and Smuggling Zero”, Seniat in Guayana has been performing night operations in regional casinos and bingo halls, according to José Gregorio Vera, Chief of the Seniat Control Division.

After last week operations, a total of 16 slots and 16 table games have been seized and kept by the administration.

Up to the moment, two important gambling halls received fines, one of them of USD 160 thousand. Vera commented that it has five business days to enter the preventive measure and then proceed to the effective payment. Meanwhile, in Ciudad Bolívar, a similar operation was held, with 12 to 16 slots seized

Vera added that the verification of other bingo halls and casinos is planned for the following days, where they will also proceed to confiscate equipments, if necessary. The operation will also extend to the horse-race betting centres.
