Taiwan cabinet says casinos not on agenda for now

Taipei (XFN-AsiaA) – The Executive Yuan, or cabinet, is not considering plans to allow casinos for now, due to the lack of consensus in the community, the Economic Daily News reported, citing secretary-general of the cabinet Chen Chin-jun.

Chen also played down a Council for Economic Planning and Development draft due in October allowing casinos in designated tourist spots, calling it „no more than an evaluation report.“
